Where many Danish groups
are drawn to the melancholy of London and New York to fuel their
creative exploits, Vincent Van Go Go
has gravitated towards the warmth and openness of Rio de Janeiro,
Brazil to influence their carefree, cheerful sound. Consisting
of five members, the Copenhagen-based group spent time performing
and recording in Rio, where they ultimately defined the essence
of their project. Combining the mellowness of Sublime,
the uplifiting energy of Matisyahu, and the funk of G. Love & Special
Sauce, the light-hearted summer vibe of Vincent Van Go Go is summed
up best by the band themselves, "Our main goal is to make
music with a positive vibe and make people dance."
